Korea South-East Power Corporation announced on the 22nd that it has signed a’business agreement to promote eco-friendly fuel conversion greenhouse gas reduction projects for small and medium-sized businesses’ with Ocean Energy, a city gas supplier.

In order to comply with the guidelines for preventing the spread of Corona 19, the agreement was conducted in a non-face-to-face manner in which each agency signed an agreement separately and then exchanged it.

With this agreement, the two companies will establish a cooperative system to support eco-friendly fuel conversion for SMEs located in 9 cities and counties in Gwangju and Jeonnam. In addition to activating small and medium-sized enterprises that are suffering from the spread of Corona 19, they decided to collaborate to contribute to the reduction of national greenhouse gases.

This project supports the conversion of liquefied natural gas (LNG) fuel, registration of greenhouse gas reduction projects, and issuance of emission permits for SMEs that use bunker seed oil and diesel, which are fuels that emit relatively large amounts of GHG. Southeast Power is expected to secure stable emission permits, expand new LNG suppliers for marine energy, and reduce fuel costs for SMEs and generate additional revenue through emission permit sales.

Southeast Power Co., Ltd. provides support for small and medium-sized businesses to receive loans at low interest rates through a shared growth cooperation loan jointly operated with IBK Industrial Bank. Minimize the cost burden of SMEs, and support the registration of greenhouse gas reduction projects, the issuance of emission permits, and administrative procedures based on professional competence and experience.

Gwang-seong Chung, head of the Southeast Power Technology and Safety Headquarters, said, “With this agreement, we will invigorate small and medium-sized businesses suffering from COVID-19.” I will do everything.”
