Sony has decided to stop selling the console games PlayStation 3, PSP, and PS Vita at the PlayStation Online Store.
According to The Gamer, a game media outlet on the 23rd (local time), Sony will stop selling PS3 and PSP from July 2nd. Sales of PS Vita will cease in August. After the sale is stopped, digital copies of the three products or additional content (DLC) are no longer sold. Sony will officially announce this later this month.
Since its launch in November 2006, PS3 has sold a total of 87 million units. Sony officially ended production four years ago after launching three upgraded models of the PS3. The PSP also achieved similar success by selling 81 million units after its launch in March 2005. On the other hand, the PS Vita, which was released in December 2011, only sold 10 to 15 million units, so it did not attract much popularity.
