The Guardian has been selecting 100 soccer players who have performed the best every year since 2012.

Son Heung-min ranked 78th in 2018 and was included for the first time, and after reaching 19th last year, he has a similar position this year.

Among the 100 players this year, Son Heung-min is the only Asian player. In this year’s ranking, 241 evaluators from 71 countries participated. When they ranked 1st to 40th respectively, the ranking of the players was determined by assigning points accordingly.

The Guardian said, “Son Heung-min is showing a hot start in the 2020-2021 season and is moving toward the most individual score in a season.”

First place was Robert Lewandowski (Bayern Munich), who showed a terrifying sense of goal in various competitions throughout the year.

It is the second time that Lionel Messi (Barcelona) or Cristiano Ronaldo (Juventus) have not been ranked first after Luca Modric (Real Madrid) in 2018. Messi, who took first place last year, descended one step to second, and Ronaldo climbed from fourth to third.

Following Kevin De Brawiner (Manchester City), Sadio Manet (Liverpool), Elling Hollan (Dortmund), Killian Mbafe (Paris Saint-Germain), Muhammad Salach (Liverpool), Neymar (Paris Saint-Germain), Pirgil Pan Dyke (Liverpool) entered the’Top 10′.

In Tottenham, Harry Kane, who boasted a splash of water with Kane, was in 20th place.
