Son Heung-min (29, Tottenham) was selected as the best 11 in the first half of the Premier League (EPL) by Alan Shearer, an English footballer.

The EPL Secretariat unveiled the best 11 of the first half of the EPL 2020-2021 selected by Shearer on the website on the 1st (Korean time).

Shearer, who spent his heyday at Blackburn Rovers and Newcastle United, is the highest scorer (260 goals) ever in EPL.

Shearer selected 11 players and managers based on the 4-3-3 formation, and Son Heung-min was named in the left midfielder.

Son Heung-min is tied for second in the scoring rankings with Dominic Calvert-Lewin (Everton) and Jamie Body (Leicester City) with 11 goals in the regular league this season. It is two goals against leader Mohamed Salah (Liverpool, 13 goals).

The 16th round against Fulham has been postponed in the aftermath of a novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19).

Son Heung-min, wearing a Tottenham uniform in 2015, is scoring 99 goals in the official match.

Shearer praised Son Heung-min, saying, “He boasted a fantastic breath with Harry Kane, and had a cool and accurate decision.”

The best 11 strikers of the first half were Salah, Calbert-Lewin, and Kane, while midfielders included Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United) and Jack Greelish (Aston Villa) along with Son Heung-min.

Defenders were named Reese James (Chelsea), Wesley Fontana (Leicester City), Janique Vestergor (Southampton) and Andrew Robertson (Liverpool). The goalkeeper is Emiliano Martinez (Aston Villa). The coach was named by Jürgen Klopp Liverpool.
