Tottenham Hotspur’s Son Heung-min (29) and Harry Kane (28, England) have become the best duo ever in the English Professional Football Premier League (EPL). It is by cooperating with the most attack points in a single season.

Son Heung-min assisted Kane’s heading goal in the 31st minute of the second half in the home game against Crystal Palace in the 2020-2021 EPL round 27 held at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on the 8th (Korean time) to help the team win 4-1.

With this, Son Heung-min and Kane jointly scored 14 goals on the EPL stage this season. According to Opta, a website specializing in soccer statistics, this is the new record for the EPL single season’s most joint goals, over Alan Shearer-Chris Sutton, who scored 13 goals in Blackburn Rovers in 1994-1995.

The next goal of the two who scored 34 goals together is to record the No. 1 joint goal in EPL. All-time number one Frank Lampard-Die Drogba (Chelsea) scored 36 goals and two goals were short. There are still 11 games left until the end of the league, so there is ample opportunity to be ranked first in this season in all-time careers.

Son Heung-min, who started with the left wing on this day, played full-time. With the help of Kane’s key goal, he increased his attack points to 34 (18 goals and 16 assists) this season.
