SK Sugar Gliders confirmed as Gwangmyeong City’s hometown to expand the base of handball and develop local sports culture

Officials such as Park Seung-won, Mayor of Gwangmyeong, who was a national handball representative and known as the real model of the movie “Woo Saeng-soon,” and Lee Bae-hyun, head of SK Sugar Gliders, and players attended the agreement ceremony held at the Gwangmyeong City Hall that day.
SK Sugar Gliders has confirmed Gwangmyeong City as a related place to expand the base of handball and develop local sports culture. SK Sugar Gliders and Gwangmyeong City plan to carry out various activities together to revitalize the handball ecosystem, cooperate in the use and development of facilities and resources, and contribute to revitalizing the local economy and sports culture in the future based on the agreement on the place of connection.
SK Sugar Gliders has had a special relationship with Gwangmyeong City before the signing of the agreement. In February of last year, the Gwangmyeong Civic Gymnasium was chosen as the home stadium, and that year, he started a pleasant companion by winning the 2019-2020 SK Handball Korea League.
