SK energy, together with the city of Seoul, will spread new and renewable energy and expand eco-friendly vehicle infrastructure. The public and private sectors have joined forces to achieve 2050 carbon neutrality.

On the 20th, SK Energy announced that it had exchanged a business agreement with the Seoul city to expand the supply of eco-friendly vehicles.

SK Energy and Seoul are working together to install solar power generation and electric vehicle charging facilities at SK gas stations and charging stations. It is suggested to the government to improve regulations that block the supply of eco-friendly energy, such as building an infrastructure for charging eco-friendly vehicles at gas stations and charging stations and installing fuel cells. It also promotes demonstration projects through regulatory sandboxes. In addition, we will support the commercialization of new products through the Seoul photovoltaic demonstration complex and cooperate with the development of eco-friendly vehicles and charging facilities for Seoul. Organize a working-level council to speed up business through regular consultations.

This agreement is significant in that the city of Seoul and the oil refining industry first joined hands to convert energy and expand the supply of eco-friendly vehicles in Seoul, a metropolitan city.

Earlier, in July of last year, the city of Seoul declared ‘2050 carbon neutral’ and announced the expansion of the supply of new and renewable energy and eco-friendly vehicles. SK energy is in a hurry to transform into a low-carbon, eco-friendly company with top priority on eco-friendly, social responsibility and improvement of governance.

The signing ceremony was attended by Jong-hoon Oh, CEO of SK Energy’s P&M CIC, and Jeong Jeong-yong, head of Seoul’s climate and environment headquarters.

Jong-Hoon Oh, CEO of SK Energy’s P&M CIC, said, “Through a public-private partnership model for carbon neutrality and environment-friendliness, Korea and the capital city of Seoul will become the global green new deal standard.” I will do it.”
