Q. How did you come to apply for’Singer Gain’, Lee Moo-jin of’Chinmu-myung’?
A. Unlike other auditions,’Singer Gain’ has a competing composition with singers who have already debuted, that is, by listening to a song, or who have great skills. I supported it because of its unique system. I was able to participate with the thought that’It’s good to get good results, and I’m not embarrassed even if I fall.’
Q. Among the stages shown in’Singer Gain’, what song do you love most?
A. It is a song called’Dream’ sung during the TOP6 decision. Just as the original songwriter, Yong-pil Cho, was inspired by’Young People Who Goed to Tokyo in the Countryside’, I also empathized with them when I practiced this song. Perhaps that’s why when I stood on the stage, my resentment burst out. I remembered the realistic advice I had heard from many people that the world of music wasn’t easy, and the moments when I sang hard while feeling bitter at those words. It was the first time that feelings of unpreparedness broke out on the stage, so I was also surprised.
Q. You heard a rave about’Why are you coming out now’ from the judges of Daesen Bae Lee Sun-hee?
A. Just in terms of my age (Moo-jin Lee was born in 2000) In fact, I belong to the audition quickly. Probably everyone said this without knowing my age. Or maybe I’m looking old (laughs). Anyway, even though I didn’t know my age, thanks to such an evaluation, I was proud of the thought of’Is I ready?’
Q. What kind of singer do you want to become Lee Moo-jin in No. 63?
A. Whenever I stand on the stage, I always say,’I’m Lee Moo-jin, a singer-songwriter who talks while playing guitar.’ The story is an essential element of the song. There are many things in the song, such as harmony, rhythm, session, sound, and lyrics, but the most important thing I value is’story’. After my song is over, I hope that the things I wanted to convey remain in the minds of the listeners.
