YG Entertainment announced on the 26th that it has signed a five-year renewal contract with two members of Akmu Lee Chan-hyuk (25) and Lee Soo-hyun (22).

Akmu appeared under the name of’Akdong Musician’ in SBS’K-Pop Star’ season 2 in 2012 and received attention for its unique musicality, and then made its official debut under YG in 2014.

Since then, he has established itself as a music source that combines musicality and popularity by producing a number of hit songs such as’How will I love the breakup, how do I love you?’

YG said, “As we once again confirmed the relationship of trust with each other, we will not spare more support for AKMU in the future,” and said, “We will do our best to help you grow as an artist.”

In addition, he said about AKMU, “I’m still young friends, but they have a deep thought and a very mature side.”

Lee Chan-hyuk emphasized the trust, saying, “For 7 years, it is a company that has supported us well in the direction we are going to go without any small friction or disagreement.”

Lee Soo-hyun also revealed the reason for renewing the contract, saying, “We did it when we retire, but we have never thought of leaving YG.”
