Shim Seok-hee (Seoul City Hall), the signboard of Korean women’s short track, won two crowns at the first domestic competition this year.

Shim Seok-hee took first place with a record of 1 minute, 30 seconds and 514 in the women’s general team’s 1,000m final at the 36th presidential boat national short track speed skating competition held at the Uijeongbu indoor ice rink on the 19th.

Although the competition was held in about 4 months due to the aftermath of the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19), Shim Seok-hee boasted a rising skill and won two gold medals from 1,500 meters the previous day to this day.

Having hit the lead from the first lap, he tackled the other players and crossed the finish line first without giving up a seat.

In the men’s general team’s 1,000m final, Park Ji-won (Seoul City Hall) won the championship with 1 minute 27 seconds 365, followed by Kim Dong-wook (Sports Towing Top, 1:27 seconds 402) and Lee Seong-hoon (Seongnam City Hall, 1:27 seconds 566).

Noh Do-hee (Hwaseong City Hall, 5 minutes 05 seconds 251) was ranked first in the women’s general division 3,000m, and Hong Gyeong-hwan (Goyang City Hall, 5 minutes 49 seconds 351) ranked first in the men’s general division 3,000 meters.

Hong Gyeong-hwan won the 1,500m championship the day before and became the second winner of the competition.
