To this end, it was announced on the 25th that a company-wide CDR management TFT including the heads of major departments, centered on the CSO (Sustainability Manager), was launched.
A Shinhan Card official said, “This is an issue that was decided in line with Shinhan Financial Group’s ESG 3.0 declaration and the full-scale launch of the digital economy,” and said, “We aim to internalize the ESG strategy in Shinhan Card’s key promotion digital business process.”
Shinhan Card’s CDR management reinterprets all digital management issues from the perspective of ESG (environmental, social, and governance), contributes to reducing carbon emissions through its own data (E), closes the digital and data gap (S), and focuses on data consumer sovereignty. This is the direction of Shinhan Card and its members’ guidelines to improve governance (G)

In particular, as a task of'(Zero Carbon Drive) Zero Carbon Drive’, an eco-friendly strategy of Shinhan Financial Group’s ESG 3.0, we monitor carbon emissions based on our own consumption data in line with the 38.6% reduction in carbon emissions of our financial asset portfolio by 2030. It will focus on developing data solutions for building various waste resource recycling economies along with the introduction of the'(Green Desk) Green Index’ algorithm.
A previous official explained, “We will also make efforts to systematize CDR management throughout the governance structure, such as reviewing the formation of the CDR Management Committee as an internal subcommittee of the board of directors.”
In addition, in order to protect digital and data consumers ahead of the launch of the law, the CDR management ethics charter of executives and employees, fair Al algorithm promotion, and cyber security reinforcement were suggested as key CDR management keywords.
