Chung Man-ho, chief of public communication at the Blue House, announced a brief official position at 3:15 pm on the day that “President Moon accepted the appreciation of Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol.” It was an official briefing that came about an hour after Yoon expressed his gratitude at 2 pm.

A high-ranking official at the Blue House explained that “the resignation submitted by President Yoon was received by the Ministry of Justice, and administrative procedures will proceed in the future with regard to the acceptance of the resignation.” He added, “The appointment of President Yoon as a successor will also be carried out by following the relevant procedures prescribed by law.”
