[이데일리TV 이혜라 기자] Overseas stock trading by domestic investors hit a record high last month.
According to the Securities Information Portal of the Korea Securities Depository on the 2nd, the amount of foreign stock transactions (the sum of the purchase settlement amount and the sale settlement amount) of domestic investors last month was $49.729.5 million (about 55,995.4 billion won), a 35% increase compared to the previous month. This is the largest ever since 2011, when the statistics survey began, on a monthly basis.
Domestic investors continued their preference for existing leading stocks such as Tesla and Apple in the overseas stock market. After listing on the New York Stock Exchange, such as Palantier and Unity Software, the company was interested in innovative companies, GameStop, and AMC Entertainment. There was also a deal in response to the plunge of Leehang Holdings, a Chinese drone company listed on NASDAQ.
