On this day, the court held a hearing related to a newspaper for witnesses related to the law (embezzlement) related to Seungri’s aggravated punishment of specific economic crimes, and an investigation of evidence for the charges of special assault teachers added during the 7th trial.
According to the military prosecution, Seungri taught the assault against Mr. A while drinking with an acquaintance at a bar in December 2015. When Mr. A accidentally looked into the room where Seungri was drinking, he announced this to the group chat room where former CEO Yoo In-seok, Yuri Holdings, and others, and pointed out Mr. A. Accordingly, it is known that former CEO In-seok Yoo ordered a member of a gang member known as Eagle Spa to exercise power against Mr. A.
At the 10th trial, the military prosecution presented as evidence the capture of CCTV footage inside and outside the bar that Seungri and his party visited during the case related to the suspicion of Seungri’s special assault teacher in December 2015. According to the prosecution’s list of evidence, one in two victims of Seungri’s special assault teacher is an employee of a large entertainment agency.
Seungri is said to have shared a conversation with the victim’s entertainment agency president Yang Hyun-seok, who was the representative of YG at the time, in a group chat room the day after the incident.
Seungri still refuses to admit the charges of a special assault teacher. At the trial on that day, the prosecution disagreed with the adoption of many of the list of evidences.
Meanwhile, Seungri was sent to the prosecution in June 2019 for a total of eight charges, and was prosecuted without custody in January last year.
Since then, he enlisted in the army on March 9 last year and is undergoing a military trial starting with the first trial in September last year. It is denying all charges except for violations of the Foreign Exchange Transaction Act.
