Yesterday (22th), former lawmaker Tae-seop Geum revealed his decision to run for the opposition mayor of Seoul. Rep. Ha Tae-kyung, a member of the People’s Power, suggested the “100% National Competition” on how to unify candidates. I will hear the related remarks.
[하태경/국민의힘 의원 (어제, TBS 라디오 ‘김어준의 뉴스공장’) : 제가 방법을 쭉 찾아봤는데 열린통합경선 방법이 있어요. 어떻게 하는 거냐 하면 이제 공관위를 외부인 국민의당 추천도 받아서 공관위를 열린 공관위로 구성을 하고, 그리고 비당원도 경선에 참여할 수 있게 하는. 그러니까 국민의힘 주도의 경선을 하지만 주도일 뿐이지 열린 형태로 한다는 거죠. 지금의 룰, 우리 당이 만든 룰로도 안철수 대표한테 그렇게 불리하지 않아요. 왜냐하면 예선이 여론조사 100%잖아요. 그래서 네 명 컷오프하는 거예요. 여론조사 100% 하면 안철수는 전혀 불리하지 않죠. 그리고 우리 당 후보한테도 만약에 안철수 대표를 이기면 자기의 주가가 굉장히 올라가기 때문에 충분히 해 볼 만한, 서로 시너지가 있는 싸움이라는 거죠.]
