The city of Seoul announced on the 16th that it would extend the operating deadline for the temporary screening station, which was scheduled to operate until the 17th, by four more weeks until the 14th of the following month in conjunction with special quarantine measures for the Lunar New Year holidays.

However, considering the average number of inspections per day and operational efficiency of each inspection site, four of the existing 56 inspection sites will be integrated and operated with nearby inspection sites.

In addition, one place in Gangseo-gu and one in Seocho-gu will be operated from the 18th by changing the location so that more citizens can receive the inspection.

Gangseo-gu Magok Indoor Badminton Court parking lot inspection office is moved to Magok District 8 public parking lot (728-43 Magok-dong), and Seocho-gu Banpo Sports Complex inspection office is moved to Yangjae Neighborhood Park (311 Yangjae-dong).

Seoul Metropolitan Government Administration Director Kim Tae-gyun said, “Although the number of confirmed cases is on a decline, it is a time when efforts to break the transmission of infections are necessary.”
