Seoul Energy Park completes Yangjae Green Car Station

Seoul Energy Corporation (President Kim Joong-sik) finishes the refurbishment of the Yangjae Green Car Station and starts a trial charge for ordinary citizens for three days from February 26th. This is the only hydrogen vehicle and electric vehicle convergence charging station model in Korea, adding its meaning.

Yangjae Green Car Station was originally a hydrogen charging station facility operated by Hyundai Motor Company for research purposes, but after Seoul took over the operating rights at the end of last year, the charging capacity was increased by about three times from 120 kg/day to 350 kg/day and opened newly.

In addition, Seoul Energy Corporation is equipped with the latest facilities so that at least 70 hydrogen cars and hydrogen buses can be charged a day, and plans to provide a paid charging service from 8 am to 10 pm every day.

From March 1, the same charging fee as the hydrogen charging station in Seoul will be charged at 8,800 won/kg, and the Sangam hydrogen station, which is currently operating free of charge, will be converted to the same charging fee from March 1.

Seoul Energy Corporation plans to operate on an advance reservation system to minimize the inconvenience of hydrogen charging and reduce waiting times for citizens. Reservations are operated by receiving 5 reservations per hour through the’H2 care app (hydrogen charging station information)’, a smartphone application developed by Mando.

In particular, Yangjae Green Car Station is a representative landmark charging facility in Seoul that installed a solar station that charges electric vehicles through photovoltaic power generation as part of Seoul’s eco-friendly mobility infrastructure construction project in 2019.

With the improvement of this hydrogen vehicle charging facility, it is evaluated that it has become synonymous with Korea’s only eco-friendly vehicle convergence charging station.

Seoul Mayor Seo Jeong-hyup visited Yangjae Green Car Station on February 25, one day before the opening, and asked him to check the progress and equipment status, and to prepare a safety management plan for the site and the convenience of citizens. .

Seoul Energy Corporation President Kim Joong-sik said, “The city still lacks hydrogen charging stations that can actually be used compared to the supply of hydrogen vehicles,” and said, “We will take the lead in building hydrogen charging stations with the opening of this green car station.” He added, “above all, we will try to promote that hydrogen is safe and clean energy to improve citizen awareness.”

Meanwhile, at the preliminary inspection site on this day, the hydrogen charging station was operated stably in the presence of experts in the field of hydrogen, including Seoul Energy Mayor Seo Jeong-hyup, President Kim Jung-sik, Seoul Energy Corporation President, Seoul Environmental Policy Division head, self-government administration manager, and Hyosung Heavy Industries executive director Hyun-chul And plans to expand the charging infrastructure to create a hydrogen city in the future were discussed in depth.
