It is a program that matches young job seekers and companies so that young people who want to find a job can gain work experience while working as interns at global companies such as 3M, GM, P&G and promising startups in the new industry.
As companies reduce and postpone new hiring due to Corona 19, young people who have to take their first steps in society are hit hard, and the spread of job-oriented hiring culture has increased the employment difficulties of young people who are difficult to build career opportunities.
On the one hand, however, promising companies in new industries such as programming, big data, and cloud are unable to find appropriate personnel, and job mismatching is intensifying.
The’Seoul Young Intern Job Camp’ is an alternative designed to solve this problem.
It focuses on supporting students to gain practical work experience at their preferred companies by breaking away from the internship business, which was not able to perform the desired job and was not able to serve as a stepping stone to actual employment due to the level of simple clerical assistance regardless of the job. .
It is also characterized by providing professional job training for 3 to 4 months before the internship.
The goal is to intensively accumulate field experience in advance so that it can be immediately put into practice. The scale of participation is 350 young adults.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government directly hires and invests in a company and participates as an internship for three months.
Professional training and internship salaries, which cost about 3.5 million won per person, are fully supported by the Seoul Metropolitan Government.
Since it is most important to meet the mutual needs of the company and job seekers for the transition to a full-time job after the end of the internship, from the 2nd and 3rd months of training, we hold project performance presentations in which 10-20 companies participate in each job to match companies that fit their job and ability He said he plans to support him.
Since last year, Seoul has cooperated with the American Chamber of Commerce in Korea to attract more than 50 global companies, including member companies 3M, GM, and P&G.
Plans to participate in internships with about 100 people. The Seoul Metropolitan Government and the American Chamber of Commerce in Korea have been discussing to promote youth job creation projects since November last year.
A separate job counseling and employment support program will also be provided to young adults participating in internships with members of the American Chamber of Commerce in Korea.
In addition, the city of Seoul is recruiting more than 100 companies with promising growth in the new industry sector by the 29th of this month.
The selection is made by comprehensively considering youth preference, employment stability, and growth potential.
The city stated that it was an opportunity for companies participating in the project to secure desired talent by participating in the selection of internship participants and curriculum design, and requested active participation.
Participating companies are also supported for publicity through various promotional channels in Seoul.

The city of Seoul said it plans to recruit 350 youth interns from March to April after completing the selection of companies in the field of new growth by early February.
More than 20% of the total personnel are selected as vulnerable groups.
