Classification personnel completed by the 4th of next month
The courier union, which declared an indefinite strike ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday, ended the strike on the 29th.
The nationwide courier labor union decided to stop the strike by voting and approving a provisional agreement drawn up the previous day by the union, courier service, and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport at the complex logistics center in Songpa-gu, Seoul at 12 noon. The union explained that “4286 members of the union participated in the voting, and the approval rate was 86% with 3687 votes in favor.” They plan to return to work on Saturday, the 30th.
Initially, the parcel delivery union was scheduled to hold a strike initiation ceremony this morning and about 5,500 members of the union would go on a general strike indefinitely. It is about 10% of the nation’s courier companies, and delivery disruptions are expected ahead of the Lunar New Year.
