It was found that the Democratic Party’s former Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Kim Young-chun, along with Professor Park Hyung-jun of Dong-A University, and Kim Young-chun, the leader in the suitability survey of candidates for opposition candidates in the international newspaper poll for the 4/7 Busan Mayor’s election, were following up to the extent of error. In a survey of 1014 adult men and women in Busan on December 26-28 last year (refer to the website of the Central Election Survey Deliberation Committee), Professor Park received 28.3%, and former Minister Kim (16.9%) , Lee, former lawmaker (15.3%) and other second-ranking group were out of the margin of error, but in this survey, former Minister Kim greatly narrowed the gap with Professor Park.
The results of the virtual bilateral show were different. In the confrontation between Prof. Park and former Minister Kim, Prof. Park gained 46.4% of the approval rating, outpacing former Minister Kim of 34.4%.
In the Democratic Party candidate suitability survey, former Minister Kim obtained 30.8%, out of the margin of error, acting as the substitute authority (11.0%) and former chairman Park (6.8%). In the survey on the suitability of candidates for power of the people, Professor Park surpassed former lawmakers (15.2%), former vice mayors (9.9%), and former lawmakers (7.3%) with a 36.1% approval rating.
As for the political party leadership, the power of the people gained 48.3%, surpassing the 34.6% of the Democratic Party outside the margin of error. In the by-election frame consensus, 42.7% of the opinions that’the right person for Busan Power should be selected regardless of political party’ is expected, and it is expected that there will be more voters who vote for the person rather than the political party.

This public opinion survey was commissioned by the International Newspaper and was conducted by ResearchView, a specialized public opinion poll, on 1,000 men and women over the age of 18 residing in Busan on the 11th and 12th.
The sampling frame used in this survey was carried out as a parallel wired/wireless ARS using the mobile phone virtual number and the fixed line phone RDD provided by the mobile communication company. The wired/wireless ratio is 19.5% for wired and 80.5% for wireless, with a response rate of 5.4%. As of the end of December 2020, the results of the survey were weighted by gender, age, and region in proportion to the resident registration population (cell weight) by the Ministry of Public Administration and Security.
