Seok-Yeol Yoon-Jae-Myung Lee Ranked 1st in 24% preference for the next President, who is not like?

In the preferences of the next political leader (President), former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol, together with Gyeonggi Gyeonggi Governor Lee Jae-myung, ranked first in the survey results.

Former President Yoon Suk-yeol’s preferences were prominent in the conservative and moderate-minded respondents, the elderly in their 50s and 60s, and by region, not only in Yeongnam but also in Chungcheong area.

As a result of asking 1003 people aged 18 years or older across the country on the 9th to 11th,’Who do you think is good for the political leader who will lead Korea in the future, that is, the next presidential feeling?’ The Prosecutor General said that each recorded a tie rate of 24%. Following this was Nak-yeon Lee, chairman of the Democratic Party’s standing-seondae chairman (11%), Ahn Cheol-soo, representative of the National Assembly Party (3%), and independent lawmaker Hong Jun-pyo (2%). 4% answered other people (including about 20 people less than 1.0%), and 31% did not answer a specific person.

Gallup Korea said that Seok-Yeol Yoon’s preference rose 15 percentage points compared to a month ago, and Jae-myeong Lee fell 3 percentage points. It was formed, but in February of this year, Lee Jae-myeong rose again, and Lee Nak-yeon fell sharply, and analyzed that the bilateral gap has widened.

Regarding the increasing preferences of former President Yoon Seok-yeol, Gallup Korea said, “Even though I am not an incumbent politician, I have been steadily named as the candidate for the next political leader. For the first time in November, the preference exceeded 10%, and in December and January this year, it reached 13%,” he explained. After resigning from the post of prosecutor general, attention is focused on whether to engage in political activities, the agency said. In this survey result, regarding the characteristics of Seok-Yeol Yoon’s preference, the Gallup Korea reported that 64% of the people supported the power of the people, and in the early 40% of the conservatives and the negative evaluators of the president, said former President Yoon. It was analyzed that there was a large increase in Chungcheong compared to last month (10% → 30% range).

Looking closer at the data from this survey, among 325 respondents with moderate ideological disposition who stated their ideological disposition as moderate, Seok-Yeol Yoon had a preference of 30%, Jae-myung Lee 22% and Nak-Yeon Lee 9%, and Seok-Yeol Yoon among 267 respondents with a conservative tendency. 42%, Jaemyung Lee 12%, Nakyeon Lee 7%. Among the 254 progressive respondents, Lee Jae-myeong 45%, Lee Nak-Yeon 21%, and Yoon Seok-Yeol 5%.

By age, Jeon Yun had a high preference for respondents in their 50s and 60s. Among the respondents in their 50s (211), Seok-Yeol Yoon had a preference of 31%, Jae-myung Lee 28%, and Nak-Yeon Lee 10%, and among those in their 60s or older (308 persons), Seok-Yeol Yoon was 37%, Jae-myeong Lee 14%, and Nak-Yeon Lee 15%. Among the respondents in their 40s (180), Jae-myeong Lee received the most support with 41%, but Seok-Yeol Yoon also came out with 20%, ahead of Nak-Yeon Lee (10%). In their 30s, Lee Jae-myeong 30% and Yoon Seok-yeol Lee Nak-yeon 14% each.

With the preference of Governor Jae-myeong Lee, who ranked first in Korea, Gallup Korea analyzed that “men (31%) and 40s (41%) beat more than Incheon and Gyeonggi (35%) and women (18%).” As for “Gwangju and Jeolla (26%) and men (9%), women (14%) are relatively higher than those of the women (14%).” Chairman Lee Nak-yeon plunged from the time when President Lee Myung-bak and Park Geun-hye took out the pardon at the beginning of the year, and has not recovered at all since.

In addition, Gallup Korea asked whether or not they liked each of the five people who had a preference of 3% or more in a monthly survey of political leaders since January of last year. 40%, with Nak-yeon Lee, 31% of the standing chairman of the Democratic Party, 27% of the National Assembly representative Ahn Chul-soo, and 20% of independent lawmakers Hong Jun-pyo.

Former President Yoon Suk-yeol’s favorability was 40%, but disfavor was 47%. Governor Lee Jae-myeong’s likelihood was 46% and dislike was 43%, compared to 29% and 55% when surveyed in December 2019. Chairman Nak-yeon Lee’s liking was 31% and dislike was 56%, and in the December 2019 survey, the likelihood was 50% and the dislike was 33%, showing a contrast between Governor Lee Jae-myung and Governor Jae-myeong Lee.

CEO Ahn Chul-soo showed a good feeling of 27% and an unfavorable rating of 63%, which was slightly improved from the likes of 17% and 69% of the last December 2019. Rep. Hong Jun-pyo, who had the lowest likelihood among the survey subjects, had a favorable feeling of 20% and an unfavorable rating of 72%, which is much better than that of 12% and 81% in March 2017. He explained that it is around 40%, which can be said to be relatively high in favorability among the supporters and propensity conservatives of the people’s strength.

On the other hand, as a result of the job evaluation of President Moon Jae-in by Gallup Korea, 38% evaluated positive, 54% evaluated negative, and otherwise withheld opinions (Neither 3%, Unknown/Rejected 5%). Since December of last year, the affirmation rate for the president’s job has remained between the late 30% and 40%, and the negative rate at 50% without significant change. Compared to last week, the job positive rate fell by 2 percentage points and the negative rate increased by 3 percentage points. The positive and negative rates by age group were 29% and 54% for those in their 20s and younger, 44% and 51% for those in their 30s, 54% and 41% in their 40s, 39% and 55% in their 50s, and 30% and 61% in their 60s and older, respectively. %.
