The results of a public opinion poll in which the preference for the next presidential candidate for Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol exceeded 30% for the first time appeared. Gyeonggi Governor Lee Jae-myung and Lee Nak-yeon, together with Democratic Party leader Lee Nak-yeon, struck the gap by over 10 percentage points.
According to data that revealed the results of Real Meter’s request for YTN on the 3rd to ask 1,000 people over 18 years of age nationwide on the preferences of the next presidential runner on the 1st and 2nd, Yun recorded 30.4%, leading the way. This is the first time that the approval rating of President Yoon has exceeded 30% among all the poll results so far. Lee Governor ranked second with 20.3%, out of the margin of error (±3.1% points at 95% confidence level). Representative Lee’s approval rating was 15.0%.
By ideology, 46.2% of respondents with a conservative orientation and 33.6% of respondents with a moderate orientation cited Yun. Among the progressive respondents, 38.1% chose this branch. By party, 54.8% of the supporters of the People’s Power picked up President Yoon, while the supporters of the Democratic Party sent 45.3% to Lee and 34.8% to Lee.

On the other hand, in other New Year’s polls, Governor Lee had more results ahead of President Yoon and President Lee, showing a mixed pattern in which the leading candidate changed according to the poll method, question, and candidate group. Ipsos commissioned SBS to survey 1,001 people aged 18 and over nationwide on the 28th to 30th of last month. In the opinion poll, Lee was 23.6%, General Yoon 18.5% and Lee 16.7%. The gap between Governor Lee and President Yun was within the margin of error (±3.1% points at 95% confidence level). In a survey of 1,007 people nationwide on the 29th to 30th of last month by Korea Research International commissioned by MBC, the number of this branch was 20.8%, higher than that of President Yoon and 17.5% of President Lee.
