Seocheon, Chungcheongnam-do group infection from the metropolitan area?… Order to limit movement of the entire village

A new coronavirus infection (Corona 19) occurred in a village in Seocheon-gun, Chungcheongnam-do, and an order to restrict movement was issued.

On the 27th, Seocheon-gun, Chungcheongnam-do, announced on the 27th that an administrative order to temporarily restrict movement was issued to the village of Hwageum 2-ri, Seocheon-eup, where the COVID-19 outbreak occurred. In this village, one woman in her 70s (No. 12 in Seocheon) was positive in the afternoon of the previous day, and four additional people (No. 13 to 16 in Seocheon) were confirmed this morning.

It was confirmed that the four confirmed on that day had contact with the woman No. 12 in Seocheon through conversations at the town hall. The infection route of Seocheon No. 12 has not been identified yet. However, Seocheon-gun estimates that there is a possibility that the 12th confirmed person could have been infected by a city bus or a restaurant since he recently departed Seocheon-eup using a city bus.

Seocheon-gun performed quarantine and disinfection after blocking the access of residents and outsiders in the village from 1 pm on the same day. Subsequently, a temporary screening clinic was set up in the village, and 214 residents of 111 households were tested. Seocheon-gun is planning to lift the administrative order to restrict movement in accordance with the diagnosis of village residents and the quarantine situation.

In Seocheon-gun, infections have occurred one after another since the 60th city bus driver (Iksan 145) belonging to Seocheon Passengers was confirmed on the 23rd. Six bus drivers, wife of Iksan No. 145, and a son living in Paju, Gyeonggi-do, were also infected. In Seocheon, there have been no confirmed cases for 74 days since October 11th. Moreover, there were no local infections.

Iksan No. 145 living in Seocheon-eup was confirmed by Wonkwang University Hospital in Jeonbuk. It was confirmed that this patient received treatment at 4 to 5 clinics in Seocheon-eup for symptoms of a cold before being confirmed. “It is a regrettable part in terms of quarantine that this patient did not recommend a corona 19 test at a clinic visited by a corona 19-like symptom, such as a fever,” said Noh Park-rae, head of Seocheon-gun.

Seocheon-gun quarantine authorities said, “The son of Paju living in Iksan 145 confirmed recently visited the home of Seocheon parents.” Seocheon-gun is considering a plan to conduct a corona 19 test for all civilians.

Gunman Noh Park-rae said, “The number of corona19 confirmed in the area is rapidly increasing,” and “military people should thoroughly observe personal quarantine rules such as wearing masks and the elevated social distancing.”
