With the order of Saemangeum Offshore & Wind Power Co., Ltd., an SPC, the project is promoted in an EPC (Engineering, Procuerment, Construction) consortium method, and Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering, LT Sambo, Gyeseong E&C, and ZETA E&C were in charge of joint contracts. Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering & Construction is expected to complete the construction by 2023 with a 40% stake before and after.

When the complex construction is completed, it is expected to contribute to the government’s’Korean version of the Green New Deal’ policy as it can produce eco-friendly electricity that can be used by about 65,000 households annually. Direct and indirect jobs of more than 10,000 are expected to be created.
