The Ministry of Education comprehensively evaluated the university management, educational environment, and curriculum of remote universities. Based on this, in order to support measures to strengthen the educational competitiveness of domestic cyber universities,’Remote University Certification and Competency Diagnosis’ was conducted for 19 cyber universities established under the’Higher Education Act’. Sejong Cyber University received the highest grade in this evaluation.
Sejong Cyber University received the highest grade in four of the six diagnostic areas: the curriculum area, the faculty area, the student area, and the distance education infrastructure area, ranking the most excellent areas.
Sejong Cyber University received the highest grade, A, as a result of written review and face-to-face confirmation, and it was evaluated as excellent in terms of achievements in acquiring students’ qualifications and various educational support for students with disabilities through the operation of department-oriented specialized curriculum.
In addition, in order to provide an environment in which students can conveniently learn anytime, anywhere, the education system that provides a web responsive learning management system (LMS) that provides the same learning environment on PC and mobile has been recognized as the first cyber university to provide services. .
Based on the results of this diagnosis, the Ministry of Education is planning to use it to connect with the financial support project of domestic cyber universities and to strengthen cooperation with foreign universities.
