Sejong City announced on the 24th that it has operated the’Corona 19 Vaccination Promotion Team’ to speed up vaccination against the new coronavirus infection (Corona 19).
The promotion team consisted of 26 personnel in all four teams, headed by the vice mayor of the administration, including the implementation support team, vaccination management team, vaccination administration team, and media response team.
The city has established a system so that the entire city can cooperate organically with support from the Autonomous and Decentralized Authority.
Looking at the main tasks of each team, the implementation support team operates and supports the cooperation of related ministries, reporting and statistics management, and vaccination centers.
The vaccination management team is in charge of planning vaccination management, selecting and managing vaccination centers, and monitoring adverse reactions.
The vaccination administration team manages the supply and demand of vaccines, designates a consignment medical institution, identifies targets for vaccination, manages reservations, receives reports of adverse vaccination reactions, and the media response team performs vaccination promotion and media response.
The city will also organize and operate a local council in which the medical association, the fire department, and the National Police Agency participate for prompt and safe vaccination.
Among the vaccination targets over the age of 18 (about 2726,000 people), the order of vaccination will be selected according to the guidelines of the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Selection of vaccination centers and consignment medical institutions for vaccination is under preparation.
Health and Welfare Bureau Director Nam Gung-ho said, “We will prepare for the vaccination to proceed without any disruption by the formation of the Corona 19 vaccination promotion team.”
