The person who posted a video on YouTube stating that he would terrorize Incheon International Airport in Section 3/1 was confirmed to be a 12-year-old boy residing in the United States.
According to the Incheon International Airport Police Department on the 26th, the police recently accessed the account from the United States at Google, which operates YouTube, and identified Army A (12) residing in the United States as a suspect through login records.
Army A is accused of uploading a video titled’Incheon Airport will terrorize at 11 am on March 1st’ on YouTube on the 21st.
Army A was born in Korea and currently resides in the United States.
If you interfere with airport operations through terrorist threats, you may be punished for violating the Aviation Security Act.
However, the police are considering how to proceed with the investigation, as it has not been confirmed that the account of Army A was hacked and that the video was uploaded directly by Army A.
A video about terrorism at Incheon International Airport was posted on YouTube, and the police began an investigation. According to the Incheon Airport Police Department and Incheon Airport Corporation, a video about 10 seconds or so about terrorizing Incheon Airport on March 1st at 11 am was posted on YouTube. Earlier, the Incheon Airport Police Department started an investigation after receiving a report that, at 6:53 am on the 23rd, “a video of’I will terrorize Incheon Airport around 11 am on March 1st’ has been posted on a YouTube video.” The reporter was known as an airport official.
The account is currently closed. However, until the 25th, a video titled “Incheon Airport will terrorize at 11am on March 1st” was posted. After that, the title was revised to “the good reason for the 9/11 terrorism”.
The post was a five-second video and contained articles such as’Don’t swear at Bin Laden’ and “Why are you swearing because you terrorized the United States”. At that time, the number of views exceeded 85,000 times.
The police determined that the possibility of terrorism was low, but for the time being, it plans to strengthen the boundaries of airport facilities.
A police official said, “We plan to decide the direction of the investigation after discussing with the investigation teams today,” and said, “I plan to request cooperation from the US investigation agency when the direction is determined.”
