[스포츠서울 안은재기자]Actor Lee Chae-young, who played a hot role from’Secret Man’ to’Effortless Villain’ Han Yu-ra, revealed his unique resolution, saying, “I made up my mind not to be married.” He laughed openly, saying, “I can’t be a pretty person like that,” and “I’ve reached the age to be responsible for acting.”
In the KBS daily drama “The Secret Man,” which ended on the 10th, actor Lee Chae-young literally decomposed into Han Yu-ra, a “effort type villain,” who literally moves around like Hong Gil-dong and does bad things. Han Yu-ra is a villain who seduces a rich man because he is blinded by his career, and drives the protagonist Lee Tae-pung (played by Kang Eun-tak) into a tragedy. Lee Chae-young said, “He cheered me that he was eager to do bad things,” and said, “I made up my mind that I couldn’t get married.” He expressed his unique determination.
“I feel better when I play a villain. “I have confidence that I can act differently even with the same villain,” he said. “When I face socially unfair things, I think’I also use a shortcut?’ Maybe Han Yu-ra honestly expressed the desires that everyone had, so that many people sympathized with it. I thought he was a bad person, so I thought there was only anti-anti, but he cheered me for doing bad things while shooting like Hong Gil-dong.”
He was stung by a bee during the filming of’The Law of the Jungle’ in June of last year and was injured. Lee Chae-young said, “I was really grateful day by day as my body hurts due to the accident. Even if it seemed difficult in the past, it was good to feel that difficulty now.”

Lee Chae-young, who has been running for six months without rest, said that due to the nature of the daily drama, Lee Seok-jeung also suffered from shooting that took place day by day. “I fell down twice while filming. Lee Seok-jeung also came because his immunity was low. At that time, I rested at home unconditionally. Without filming, I met a friend or someone, but I don’t need everything and don’t want to do anything while drama. I couldn’t be late because of the corona, so I didn’t meet my friends separately. I couldn’t contact you for some reason.”
Lee Chae-young met again after 11 years with director Shin Chang-seok of his debut film KBS2’s’Cheonchu Empress’ (2009) in this’Secret Man’. It must have been new to meet the director who cast him in his debut film more than 10 years ago. He said, “I met the difficult and respectable director I met in my 20s when I turned 36. He also said why he was nervous when he saw me when he debuted, but when he saw Lee Chae-young, an actor in his thirties, he was nervous in the mind that he shouldn’t be the same, and he was so tightly caught.”
“(In the old days) there were many times when I was bothered and upset when I monitored myself. If I don’t, it hurts other actors. In’Cheonchu Empress’, I came out as Chae Si-ra’s escort. It was a scene that appeared briefly in the scene, and at that time, Chae Si-ra opened my collar. I was amazed and thought why would you do this, but my senior said,’You are my escort. If the clothes of the escort guarding me are messed up, I can’t believe in him either.’ At that time, I realized that I thought it was too easy.”

Lee Chae-young said, “When I debuted, I tried to do well and I wanted to do well, so I only saw it. His attitude and attitude toward acting were different. Now, I have a great desire to work happily with my colleagues,” he said. “I also knew the value of people working together. Now that I am old, there is no such thing as a young person (laughs), and I cannot always be a pretty person. I am old enough to feel responsible for my acting.”
