Former Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon, with a’conditional vote’ on the 17th, officially declared that he would run for the Seoul Mayor by-election in April next year.
Mayor Oh said in this morning at the’Buk Seoul Dream Forest Slant Grass Madang’ in Gangbuk-gu, Seoul, saying, “I have a treasured weapon of’visiting experience’ accumulated over five years as a re-election mayor that other candidates do not have.”
On the 7th, Mayor Oh said, “If the National Assembly Representative Ahn Chul-soo joins the power of the people, he will not run for the mayor of Seoul.” He said, “If the opposition rights are unified for the purpose, I will not run, otherwise I have no choice but to go out,” he said.

On January 7th, I left my political interests and struck Bae, saying that if the opposition powers are unified for the victory of the mayoral election in Seoul, which will be the cornerstone of the regime change in the future, I will not run.

It was a decision from the conviction that’unification of opposition powers’ must be achieved for the change of government, and it was a proposal that was judged to be a way to block the possibility of division of opposition in advance 100%, but prior to that, the intention of the party members and those who wished to run for me. For a long time, I had a lot of personal agony over the feelings of self-confidence for a long time whether it was right for the citizens of Seoul and the people who owed a great deal to our party to step forward with the resignation of the Mayor of Seoul 10 years ago.
Looking back, Se-Hoon Oh has benefited more than anyone from the people and our society, and owed a great deal to his resignation as mayor.
The citizens of Seoul chose me to become the youngest mayor of civilian elections at the age of forty-five, and for five years, I was able to gain valuable experience and experience while leading the administration of the capital city of Seoul.
In the process, there have been some inexperienced choices, and some tasks that have not been completed remain. So, I stood here with a feeling of atonement and with greater responsibility.
The last 10 years I have spent with pride have been a precious time to look back on myself and prepare for the future step by step. Through failure, I was able to become a more flexible and rigid person.

After sleeping overnight, a real estate frenzy caused by soaring house prices. During the three years of the Moon Jae-in administration, the median price of apartments in Seoul soared 52%, and the increase was more than four times larger compared to the nine years of the Lee Myung-bak and Park Geun-hye administrations.

In order to change the regime, the mayor of Seoul must win the election, and for the country to live, the capital city must live. When Seoul stops, Korea will soon stop.
However, it has been a long time since Seoul is still a battleground due to the soaring house prices and the lives of citizens being threatened by Corona 19. As stores that are closing are increasing, ghost streets that are turned off are increasing, and small business owners and self-employed people are being driven into the streets in cold weather.
In a word, the city was stopped due to a heavy snowfall but inadequate preparation for the mayor due to a sexual harassment crime by the former mayor.
In order to save Seoul in such a crisis, we need an experienced mayor who can perform CPR while directing the correction from the day after election. The reality of the Moon Jae-in regime, where there was only relief and ideals, but no experience or preparation, is the biggest contrast teacher for us.
Se-Hoon Oh has a treasure trove of’corrective experience’ accumulated over five years as the re-election mayor that other candidates do not have.
