Former Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon officially declared a run for the 4.7 Seoul Mayor by-election on the 17th. Mayor Oh previously announced on the 7th that until this day, the day before the reception of candidates for the People’s Strength contest began, Ahn Cheol-soo, the head of the National Assembly Party, declared that he would run for a’conditional’ campaign if he or she was not worthy.

Mayor Oh held a press conference at the Dream Forest in Buk Seoul, Gangbuk-gu, Seoul, and said, “After seeing the reactions of Candidate Chul-soo Ahn and the National Assembly Party, we came to a judgment that there is no possibility of pre-unification.” “The waiting time is over. I will run from today.” Said.

Mayor Oh said, “(Park Won-soon) Seoul was in a state of dying in a word, such as the city stopped due to a heavy snowfall as the mayor’s job was vacated due to a sexual harassment crime by the former mayor. “To save Seoul, immediately from the day after election “We need a seasoned mayor with experience who can do CPR while directing the correction.”

Former Mayor Oh also set a day saying, “President Moon Jae-in must apologize to the people by lying on his face at Gwanghwamun Square with his former minister.” Mayor Oh said, “The great irreparable sin of the Moon Jae-in regime is that they drove the lives of the common people, the vulnerable and young people to the edge of the cliff, and kicked the ladder of class movement to cut off the buds of hope for the future.” “Disruption, dictatorship and disregard of the rule of law, and destruction of fairness and common sense, not national unity, are not enough for President Moon’s grave crimes.”

Apologize only for the declaration of’conditional’ run… “President Moon Jae-in, commit a deadly crime”

Mayor Oh apologized at the press conference that day for the declaration of’conditional’, which caused controversy within the party, such as the public opposition of Kim Jong-in, the People’s Power Emergency Response Committee, and as some predicted, due to the failure of the free meal referendum in 2011. There was no explicit apology for resigning from the mayor.

Mayor Oh said, “(The conditional declaration of running for office) was a decision based on the conviction that’unification of opposition powers’ must be achieved for regime change, and it was a proposal that was judged to be a way to block 100% of the possibility of splitting opposition in advance. “I apologize for not fully understanding the will of the party members and those who wish to run for me.”

He said, “I have a long time personal anguish over the feelings of self-confidence for a long time whether it is right for the citizens of Seoul and the person who owed a great deal to our party because of the resignation of the Mayor of Seoul 10 years ago.” “I received more benefits and owed me a lot to my resignation.”

He said, “The last 10 years I have spent with pride have been a precious time to look back on myself and prepare for the future step by step. Through failure, I was able to become a more flexible and solid person.” “I think it’s the best way to do my best, even if it’s as beautiful as the beneficiary.”

Se-Hoon Oh “I don’t have any thoughts about the presidency in front of me.”

Immediately after the mayor’s declaration was declared, “Now I have no thoughts about the presidential power in front of me.”

Mayor Oh said, “If I am elected as mayor in this by-election, all the pledges I will make in the future are five-year pledges, not one-year pledges,” he said. “If the citizens of Seoul agree, while working hard as mayor of Seoul for five years, “I will erase my thoughts about the challenge of President Eun’s office in white.”

He aimed at rivals, former Congressman Na Gyeong-won and Ahn Cheol-soo, heads of the National Assembly, saying, “Both candidates Na Gyeong-won and Ahn Chul-soo are excellent people, and those who have refined their skills and policies to get to a big position.” “I can’t do it,” he said.

Mayor Oh appealed, “Please choose a mayor where you can start working as soon as you take office, rather than an amateur beginner market, a one-year intern market, or a practice market that ends after work.”

The following is the full text of the mayor’s declaration of office on that day.

[전문] Seoul’s moribund state can’t afford to wait for the amateur beginner market

<다시 뛰는 대한민국, 서울시를 위하여>

Fellow citizens, citizens of Seoul!
How hard was it again today?

Small business owners and self-employed people who were hit by the Corona 19 direct hit!
How bad are you?

On January 7th, I left my political interests and struck Bae, saying that if the opposition powers are unified for the victory of the mayoral election in Seoul, which will be the cornerstone of the regime change in the future, I will not run.

Unfortunately, however, it is now difficult to expect pre-integration. It was a decision from the conviction that’unification of opposition powers’ must be achieved for the change of government, and it was a proposal that was judged to be a way to block the possibility of division of opposition in advance 100%, but prior to that, the intention of the party members and those who wished to run for me. We apologize for not being able to figure out enough.

For a long time, I had a lot of personal agony over the feelings of self-confidence for a long time whether it was right for the citizens of Seoul and the people who owed a great deal to our party to step forward with the resignation of the Mayor of Seoul 10 years ago.

Looking back, Se-Hoon Oh has benefited more than anyone from the people and our society, and owed a great deal to his resignation as mayor.

The citizens of Seoul chose me to become the youngest mayor of civilian elections at the age of forty-five, and for five years, I was able to gain valuable experience and experience while leading the administration of the capital city of Seoul.

In the process, there have been some inexperienced choices, and some tasks that have not been completed remain. So, I stood here with a feeling of atonement and with greater responsibility.

The last 10 years I have spent with pride have been a precious time to look back on myself and prepare for the future step by step. Through failure, I was able to become a more flexible and rigid person.

Now in the face of national crisis, as much as the benefits I have received from you and society
I think it is the only way to do our best to lead the way, even if it is weak.

Fellow Koreans and citizens of Seoul!

After sleeping overnight, a real estate frenzy caused by soaring house prices. During the three years of the Moon Jae-in administration, the median price of apartments in Seoul soared 52%, and the increase was more than four times larger compared to the nine years of the Lee Myung-bak and Park Geun-hye administrations.

The common people who do not have a single house are driven to the outskirts of the house, but the young people are finally jumping into this real estate turmoil by doing so-called’spirits’.

Due to the soaring real estate prices, the net asset gap between the top 20% and the bottom 20% widened from 100 times in 2017 when the Moon Jae-in administration was established to 167 times in 2020, and the goal of the gap between the rich and the poor and polarization has deepened irreversibly.

In this situation, if someone sweats and works, even a small house
Can we have simple hopes that we can live a better life?

Disruption, dictatorship and disregard of the rule of law, and destruction of fairness and common sense, not national unity, are not enough for President Moon’s grave crimes.

The bigger, irreversible sin of the Moon Jae-in regime is that they drove the lives of the common people, the vulnerable, and young people that they had put forward to the edge of the cliff, and kicked the ladder of class movement to cut off the buds of hope for the future at all. President Moon Jae-in must apologize to the people by lying on his face at Gwanghwamun Square with his former minister.

Dear citizens, citizens of Seoul!

Nevertheless, we cannot make the situation and failure of this unprepared, ignorant and incompetent Moon Jae-in administration into a group of failures of the Republic of Korea with blood and sweat, and of all the people. This is the desperate reason I decided to run for mayor of Seoul.

In order to change the regime, the mayor of Seoul must win the election, and for the country to live, the capital city must live. When Seoul stops, Korea will soon stop.

However, it has been a long time since Seoul is still a battleground due to the soaring home prices and the lives of citizens being threatened by Corona 19. As stores that are closing are increasing, ghost streets that are turned off are increasing, and small business owners and self-employed people are being driven into the streets in cold weather.

In a word, the city was stopped due to a heavy snowfall but inadequate preparation for the mayor due to a sexual harassment crime by the former mayor.

In order to save Seoul in such a crisis, we need an experienced mayor who can perform CPR while directing the correction from the day after election. The reality of the Moon Jae-in regime, where there was only relief and ideals, but no experience or preparation, is the biggest contrast teacher for us.

Se-Hoon Oh has a treasure trove of’corrective experience’ accumulated over five years as the re-election mayor that other candidates do not have.

With a population of 10 million, over 40 trillion won in annual budget, and 45,000 civil servants in the autonomous districts, the city of Seoul, excluding national defense, Construction and transportation․ Housing and welfare․ Environment. It’s like a small government in charge of all policies and functions, including culture.

However, the mayor of Seoul who was elected through this April by-election is less than a year old. It is impossible even to properly grasp the vast organization and business of Seoul in such a short time. The suffering of the citizens due to the turmoil and the void is as obvious as seeing fire.

In a moribund state, Seoul cannot afford to wait for the trial and error of the amateur market, the one-year intern market, and the practice market, and policy experiments.

So, even more important to this mayor is the understanding and experience of the Seoul city government that can start working the day after the election.

Fellow citizens, citizens of Seoul!

Now, I will do my best to promote my loyalty, policies, and vision with the goal of becoming a candidate for the Mayor of Seoul, the first opposition party, the power of the people. And we will surely win the election of the mayor of Seoul and fulfill our call for regime change in 2022 together with the citizens.

I believe that the demands and tasks of the times of unification of opposition candidates will surely be fulfilled by the wise citizens and citizens of Seoul who long for regime change. Thank you.
