According to law enforcement officials on the 22nd, Judge Jang Ki-seok, who is in charge of warrants for the Incheon District Law, conducts a substantive examination of the warrant for the death of a child protection zone under the Aggravated Punishment Act for a specific crime of Mr. A, a truck driver.
While attending the court, Mr. A did not answer any of the reporters’ successive questions, such as “Did you know the accident location was in the school zone?” or “Why did you make an illegal right turn?” However, he nodded to the question, “Did you not see elementary school students at the time?”
Mr. A is accused of killing an elementary student B by a 25t truck in a school zone in front of an elementary school located in Sinheung-dong, Jung-gu, Incheon at 1:50 pm on the 18th.
It was investigated that Mr. A violated the regulations of the Road Traffic Law, saying,’You must make a right turn while moving slowly along the right edge of the road in advance’, and it was investigated that he made an illegal right turn at the second lane, which is a straight lane among the three lanes one way.
