SBS’G-R’ “Jung-in will watch the trial and make follow-up reports”

The death of Jeong In-yi (name before adoption), who died on October 13 last year after being adopted by her adoptive parents, suffered habitual assault. On the 2nd, SBS’I want to know it’ released a video of a daycare center closed circuit (CCTV) the day before Jung In-yi died. The 16-month-old baby was shown to be dull and numb. In particular, the daycare center where Jung In-i attended reported the abuse three times, but the controversy grew due to the fact that the police closed the case without charge. Some of the police officers in charge of the case were also subject to discipline.

Earlier, SBS’Surprising Story Y’was also widely known for dealing with this case, but after the broadcast of’I want to know it’ on the 2nd, public opinion raged again. The phrase “#Jung In, I’m sorry, we’ll change” spread on the air by Kim Sang-jung, an anchor of “I want to know that,” and picket and hashtag campaigns took place on social media. In addition, there is a movement in which numerous citizens submit petitions calling for severe punishment in the Seoul Southern District Law, which is in charge of trials for adoptive parents.

On the 4th of the media today, I asked the production crew of SBS’I want to know that’ why Jung In recounted the story and why he held a picket on the air. The production crew said, “I wanted to make a broadcast with viewers so that the sad death of Jung In-i would not be easily forgotten. So, we started the picket demonstration while discussing with the production crew and representatives of civic groups.”

When anchor Kim Sang-joong held a picket, the production crew said, “The first participant who expressed condolences for’I’m sorry Jung In-ah’ was Kim Sang-joong MC.” Dubbing and recording with Kim Sang-jung according to the broadcast schedule (the day before the broadcast) was held on January 1st, but he couldn’t connect with the words as he saw the specific details to be broadcast.”

The production crew said, “There have been many cases in which the name of a child is named in our society, and there have been many institutional improvements recently.” However, in the current era, there are three reports of child abuse. Even though there was, I was shocked that our society could not save Jung In.”

“I cried a lot during the interview,” he said. “Not only our production crew, but also many experts who shared this case with us, wept a lot during interviews. That’s a shocking and unfortunate event. I hope this will not happen in the future.”

After the broadcast, a lot of’I’m sorry Jung In-ah’ was spread on social media, and the production crew said, “I didn’t know that so many people would participate.” The production crew said, “As a production crew, I hoped that Jung In-i would be remembered for a long time through this. I am very grateful that many people are interested and remembered. We ask for your continued interest, saying, “I ask for your attention until the end so that this case can be finished well in the future.

The production crew said they would watch the trial process. It also said that if there is a necessary role, it will follow up.

The production crew said, “There will still be children who have been abused everywhere in our society.” “Our goal is to fully reveal this incident to remember Jung In-yi’s regrettable death, and to prevent such a child from appearing again.”

The production crew said, “We are prepared to be able to reveal their personal information to their adoptive parents and thank the informant for contacting Jung In-i, who is regretful.” He added, “I came to the interview with the intention of doing everything.”
