Apartment residents can also directly produce and use solar energy. The ESS (Energy Storage System) truck that supplies power to the disaster area has also started in earnest. Traditional market food vending machines are also available.
The Sandbox Support Center of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy held the’Industrial Convergence Sandbox Deliberation Committee’ on the 11th, and △Solar power trading platform △mobile energy storage system △Eco-friendly recycled asphalt mixture △Eco-friendly asphalt peeling inhibitor ⑤ It announced that it has approved a total of 8 cases, including instant food vending machines ⑥ shared beauty salon services (3 cases). The’small-scale solar power trading platform’ developed by H Energy received a’demonstration special case’.
After joining the cooperative, apartment residents can directly use the solar power produced on the rooftop or sell it through the platform. Households with large amounts of electricity can save electricity bills by purchasing solar energy through the platform. Until now, only single-family houses were available for self-production, but the use of the platform enables residents of apartments and multi-family houses.
After collecting electric vehicle battery packs to create an energy storage system (ESS), a mobile energy storage device mounted on a truck will also be introduced to the market. The mobile ESS charges the battery in a nearby place such as solar power and electric vehicle chargers, and then moves to a place where external power supply is needed or to a disaster area to supply power. In addition, it plans to target North American markets such as Texas, which suffered a first blackout due to the cold wave caused by climate change.
Under the current law, ESS safety standards are limited to fixed types, and mobile types could not receive safety certification. The Ministry of Industry allowed the market test in consideration of market demand for mobile generators, ease of use, and eco-friendliness compared to diesel generators that generate fine dust and greenhouse gases. Aeon Earth plans to demonstrate 10 mobile ESS-equipped trucks for two years at disaster areas in the metropolitan area, 5G mobile base stations, and various events. The Ministry of Industry is planning to use the results of this demonstration as soon as possible to prepare additional standards that reflect the characteristics of mobile types in the existing fixed standards.
SK Energy’s’High Penetration Recycled Asphalt Concrete Production’ also received temporary permission.
Recycled asphalt concrete (recycled asphalt concrete) used for road pavement is made by mixing new and recycled aggregates. In order to maintain the performance of recycled asphalt concrete, it was mandatory to add a recycled additive (performance restoration agent) (asphalt concrete pavement construction guidelines).
However, the’high penetration asphalt’ developed by SK Energy contains the function of a regenerative additive, so there is no need to separately input it. The Ministry of Industry and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said, “Reuse of waste ascon is expected to increase through the simplification of the production process, and the reduction of forest damage caused by the collection of new aggregates is expected.” Permission’ was granted.
‘Eco-friendly ascon peeling inhibitor’ (Navisil) has also received a production license. Espinator has developed a peeling inhibitor that can prevent’portholes on the road’ (a peeling phenomenon in which asphalt is peeled off) by using advanced fine particle manufacturing technology. However, in the current law, only slaked lime and liquid peeling inhibitors are described as peeling inhibitors, so it was unclear whether other products could be used as peeling inhibitors (asphalt concrete pavement construction guidelines).
An instant food vending machine such as salads, lunch boxes, and milk kits will also be installed for single-person households in the city. The’instant food vending machine’, made by Gran Macan (CEO Kyo-Il Koo), puts instant foods produced in shared kitchens and traditional markets into vending machines and installs them in shared houses and shared offices so that the general public can easily purchase them 24 hours a day. The vending machine has built-in refrigeration and temperature tracking functions to maintain the freshness of food, and RFID tags are attached to food containers to manage food information and expiration date.
The’shared beauty salon’ (three companies including Engig Company) also received additional approval. In June, August, and December, a total of 15 businesses for shared beauty salons received sandbox approval. The deliberation committee decided by applying a’Fast-Track’ deliberation on similar and identical tasks.
Shared beauty salon is a platform where multiple hairdressers occupy one beauty salon business site to share facilities and facilities such as shampoo rooms and perm machines. A hairdresser can start a business by paying a fixed membership without additional costs such as rights and interior fees. Platform operators support commercialization by providing space, equipment, beauty materials, and marketing to hairdressers. According to the Public Hygiene Management Act (Article 2 of the Enforcement Rule), only one salon can be used by one business operator.
Meanwhile, the Sandbox Deliberation Committee of the Ministry of Industry approved six other projects, including △mixing accident prevention service △building and operating hydrogen charging stations in urban areas.

The Sandbox Support Center in Korea is the first private sandbox organization in Korea. Support is available in all industries such as ICT convergence, industrial convergence, and financial innovation sandbox. Since its launch in May, 60 innovative products and services have received a sandbox special case. In addition, 45 cases were supported through prompt confirmation and active administration to confirm the regulatory status of innovation projects within 30 days.
