Samsung Electronics will significantly strengthen game-related functions across the entire lineup of new QLED TVs in 2021.

Samsung Electronics announced on the 14th that it will introduce AMD’s’FreeSync Premium Pro’ function for the first time in the industry in all lineups ranging from 50-inch to 85-inch through collaboration with AMD.

AMD’s’Free Sync’ technology is a technology that can reduce or eliminate input delays, screen cutouts, and screen distortion that may occur when various game contents such as game consoles or PCs are delivered to displays such as TVs.

AMD’s’FreeSync Premium Pro’, which Samsung Electronics introduced this time, adds a contrast ratio optimization technology to the existing FreeSync function, which makes it possible to play smoother game images with HDR quality more clearly.

Samsung Electronics found that more than 80% of users playing games on TV use game consoles such as Microsoft’s Xbox or Sony’s PlayStation (PS).

Accordingly, Samsung Electronics has equipped various gaming related functions as well as AMD’Free Sync Premium Pro’ technology on Samsung Electronics’ Neo QLED, which is about to be released in Korea.

Samsung Neo QLED TV ▲ 100% color volume and 12-bit backlight control enable dark image detail and accurate color expression ▲ Application of the shortest input lag time (5.8ms), which is the speed of processing video signals and sending them to the screen ▲ Industry’s first wide game The screen can be adjusted to 21:9, 32:9, etc. through the view ▲ The industry’s first game bar function allows you to easily display various game-related information.

In addition, ▲ fast game motion at 120Hz with Motion Accelerator Turbo+ ▲’Burn-in Free’ without worry of burn-in even in fixed game UI ▲ Immersive sound play is possible through AI-based game surround sound and moving sound + (OTS+) .

Samsung Electronics has been the first in the industry to introduce auto game mode to TVs in 2018 and has spurred the development of gaming TVs, and has won the CES Innovation Award in the gaming category for four consecutive years from 2018 to this year.

Samsung Electronics listens to the opinions of game enthusiasts through in-house discussions from time to time to strengthen TV gaming technology and reflects it in product planning. The deployment of AMD’s’FreeSync Premium Pro’ technology is also a result of the company’s opinion that TV console game contents using HDR technology will increase rapidly in the future.
