Samsung Electronics signs a 5G mobile communication equipment supply contract with NTT Docomo in Japan

Samsung Electronics has signed a 5G mobile communication equipment supply contract with NTT DOCOMO, the largest mobile communication service provider in Japan.

With this supply contract, Samsung Electronics secured NTT Docomo as a 5G customer following KDDI, the second-largest telecommunications service provider, and expanded its presence in the Japanese 5G mobile communication market.

Samsung Electronics will supply the base station (RU, Radio Unit) necessary for the construction of 5G commercial network to NTT DoCoMo, and will support rapid 5G network construction.
