Shareholders of Samsung Electronics on the 7th can participate in the electronic voting from 9 am to 5 pm on the 16th.
Electronic voting is designed so that shareholders can exercise their voting rights at the general shareholders’ meeting without being subject to time or physical constraints. Samsung Electronics has been operating the electronic voting system since last year.
Electronic voting can be participated in the electronic voting system (https://evote.ksd.or.kr) by the Korea Securities Depository and by means of PC or mobile.
Previously, in the notice of convening a regular shareholders’ meeting sent to shareholders, Samsung Electronics asked shareholders to “exercise voting rights by using electronic voting as much as possible,” saying, “It is expected that it will be difficult to attend the shareholders’ meeting this year due to COVID-19.” .
Meanwhile, for the first time this year, for the shareholders who cannot attend the general shareholders’ meeting, Samsung Electronics is broadcasting the shareholders’ meeting live online.
To watch online broadcasts, you must apply in advance on the company website. The application period is from 9 a.m. on the same day to 5 p.m. on the 16th, as in the electronic voting period.
Samsung Electronics’ 52nd regular shareholders’ meeting will be held at 9 am on the 17th of this month at Suwon Convention Center in Suwon, Gyeonggi-do.
The agenda of this year’s general shareholders’ meeting is ▲ approval of financial statements ▲ appointment of outside and inside directors ▲ appointment of outside directors to become members of the audit committee ▲ approval of the compensation limit for directors.
