Based on Dongwha Pharm’s own performance, its sales in 2020 recorded 22.26 billion won, which is the result of an increase of 47.6% compared to 2019 (15 billion won).

Itchi(Photo) Is a toothpaste-type gum treatment that was launched in 2011. It is continuing its growth based on a new concept of high convenience and management of harmful bacteria in the oral cavity. It is a method of squeezing the contents of the tube like toothpaste, so even those who are burdened with taking gum medicine can easily manage their gums and teeth. Thanks to such high compliance, Itchi has been continuously loved by consumers, recording sales growth every year since its launch.
Itchi, which recorded 3.7 billion won in sales in the first year of its launch, exceeded 10 billion won in 2014, four years later, and sold about 3.23 million units in 2020 alone, generating 20 billion won in sales. According to IQVIA data, Gitchi occupies 94% of the market share among toothpaste-type gum treatments, and it is also found that the sales volume of gum medicines is ranked first.
Dong Wha Pharm launched’Itch Paste Phytoncide’, which added cypress phytoncide in February of last year, and is selling it along with’Itch Paste’. Phytoncide refers to an antibacterial substance made by forest plants. The phytoncide component extracted from cypress trees is known to inhibit oral harmful bacteria and have a bad breath inhibitory effect. Itch Paste and Itch Paste Phytoncide are generic drugs and can be purchased at pharmacies.
