‘Korean Monster’ Ryu Hyun-jin (34, Toronto Blue Jays) is on the hunt for the first victory of the season again against the Texas Rangers of the American professional baseball.

Toronto coach Charlie Monteyo announced the starting pitcher for the 3rd straight match against Texas on the 6th and 8th in a video interview with reporters on the 4th (Korean time).

The 6th is Stephen Mats, the 7th is Tanner Roark, and the 8th is Ryu Hyunjin.

Ryu Hyun-jin recorded 4 hits (1 home run), 1 walk, 5 strikeouts and 2 runs against the New York Yankees in the opening game of the major league on the 2nd.

Toronto, where Ryu Hyun-jin played a tight starting match against Yankees ace Gerrit Cole (2 runs in 5⅓ innings), won 3-2 after 10 games overtime.

Ryu Hyun-jin, who retired from the game at the time without winning or losing, takes a break for five days and sets out to challenge for his first victory again.

The key is an unfamiliar Texas hitter. Ryu Hyun-jin has never faced Texas since entering the big leagues in 2013.

Ryu Hyun-jin’s advantage is expected as Texas, which is under rebuilding, is expected to have an edge, but beware of beasts with a single shot, such as Joey Gallo.
