Ryu Hyun-jin (34, Toronto Blue Jays) finished the final trial match schedule with some anxiety.

Ryu Hyun-jin started a demonstration game with the Philadelphia Phillies of the American Professional Baseball Major League (MLB) held at Dunedin TD Ball Park in Florida, USA on the 27th (Korean time), and started with 4 innings, 8 hits (1 home run), 1 walk, and a ball that fits the body. He scored 1, 5 strikeouts, and 3 runs (three runs). The number of pitching was 89, and the highest fastball was 148 km.

In the first inning, Ryu Hyun-jin allowed a right-handed hit to lead batter Andrew McCain. I threw a changeup on the outside, and Macacheon pushed’Took’ and connected it with a hit. Ryu Hyun-jin guided the follow-up batter JT Real Muto to the third base ground ball using the cut fastball, but walked to Bryce Harper and was driven to the crisis of 1st, 1st, 2nd base.

He then turned Rice Hoskins into a missed swing, but allowed Hean Segura, who battered 5 times, to a deep infield hit on the second base, resulting in a second base.

The first goal was given away in vain. I threw a curve at Didi Hrehorwiss with a first pitch, but it didn’t work. The ball hit Hrehorwiss’ arm and pushed it away. However, Ryu Hyun-jin soon regained his coolness. He escaped the crisis by returning Andrew Kap to three strikeouts.

Ryu Hyun-jin, who threw 26 balls in the first inning, was shaken somewhat in the second. He struck out lead batter Scott Kingary in a missed swing, but allowed hits in a row and was pushed to 1st and 2nd base. Real Muto was caught with a floating ball in center field, and in the meantime, it became 2nd 1st and 3rd base.

Ryu Hyun-jin once again showed excellent crisis management skills. He had to throw an initial changeup against Harper, the signboard of the opposing team, to induce a floating ball. Ryu Hyun-jin was treated as a looking strikeout after a match up to 12 pitches against Rice Hoskins, the lead batter in the third inning.

Segura, the follow-up batter, allowed a surprise infield hit, but came down from the mound holding Hrehoriwis in a missed swing.

After taking a break, Ryu Hyun-jin appeared again at the beginning of the 4th. In this season’s MLB demonstration game, a pitcher who has been beaten will be able to start again. Ryu Hyun-jin gave one hit in the fourth inning, but he hit all three batters and blocked it well.

In episode 5, he showed anxiety again. Ryu Hyun-jin was beaten with a mid-month solo home run by Harper, the lead batter. I threw a fastball in the ball count 2 ball-2 strike, but I was rushing to the middle. Ryu Hyun-jin gave a long hit that hit the left wall to the follow-up batter Hoskins.

Ryu Hyun-jin, who directly caught Segura with the ground ball in front of the pitcher, handed the ball to Tyler Chatwood at first base and second base. Chatwood allowed Kingary to hit right, and Ryu Hyun-jin’s own points increased by one more point. Ryu Hyun-jin threw 33 straight balls, 22 cut fast balls, 20 change-ups, and 14 curves.

With the game on this day, Ryu Hyun-jin finished all preparations for the regular season appearance. In this year’s demonstration game, he made a total of 3 starts and recorded an average of 3.60 ERA with 4 runs in 10 innings (4 ERA). He scored 1 goal in 2 innings against the Baltimore Orioles on the 6th and 4 innings without a run against the Detroit Tigers on the 16th.

He is likely to start in the opening game of the regular season with the New York Yankees on the 2nd of next month.
