On their way home, Russian diplomats in North Korea pushed their carts and crossed the borders of the two countries. This is a scene where North Korea blocked traffic from outside to prevent the new coronavirus infection (Corona 19).

According to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the 26th (local time), eight members of the Russian embassy in Pyongyang crossed the border between the two countries the day before by pushing a railroad orbital wagon carrying their children on the Tuman River iron bridge. The diplomat’s group came from Pyongyang by train and bus for about 34 hours to Nasun, North Hamgyeong Province. Among the three children in the cart, there were three years old, and the only male out of eight, the third-ranking secretary of the Russian embassy, pulled the cart, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

The reason why the Russian diplomat’s group had to move the cart by hand was because there was no means of transportation to ride. The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs wrote on Facebook the day before, “It was long and difficult to return home because the border was closed for more than a year and passenger transportation was suspended.” The released video shows a group of diplomats cheering and rejoicing right after menstruation.

It is reported that the day before, the diplomats met their colleagues at Hassan Station in the Maritime Territory, Russia, and took a bus to Vladivostok International Airport and boarded an airplane for Moscow that morning. Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Mariya Zaharova said in an interview on his own radio broadcast that the return of a group of Russian diplomats was due to the end of their service period.

According to NK News, a media specializing in North Korea, North Korea has closed its borders since early February last year to prevent the spread of Corona 19 and completely blocked air and rail traffic with China and Russia and foreigners from entering and leaving North Korea. It is said that only special cases such as diplomats are allowed to leave the country.
