The new coronavirus infection (Corona 19) vaccine’Sputnik V’developed by Russia is expected to be produced in Italy.

On the 8th (local time), the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), which is responsible for the overseas production and supply of Sputnik V vaccine, and ADIENNE Pharma & Biotech, a Swiss pharmaceutical company, announced the Reported that I had signed an agreement on my production.

According to a report on the day, the Russian-Italian Chamber of Commerce said, “For the first time in Europe, an agreement has been signed between RDIF and ADIENNE Pharma & Biotech on the Italian production of Sputnik V vaccine.” Local production will start in July, and by the end of this year, it was introduced that 10 million doses (one dose) will be produced.

If the agreement is implemented, it is expected that the Russian Corona 19 vaccine will be the first cooperation project to be produced in Europe. Russia has proposed local production of the Sputnik V vaccine to Austria, among EU member states, as reported earlier by TASS. Russia has also applied for approval of the use of the vaccine to the European Medicines Agency (EMA).

Russia has signed contracts for local production of Sputnik V vaccine with Gbelarus, China, India, Kazakhstan, Iran and Korea. The Sputnik V vaccine was first approved by Russia in August last year in the world. Although there were criticisms about the lack of clinical trials, the evaluation is changing positively as a result of Phase 3 that the vaccine’s preventive effect reaches 91.6% was published in the global medical journal’Lancet’ earlier last month. So far, 46 countries, including Russia, have approved the use of the Sputnik V vaccine.
