KEPCO completely defeated Woori Card thanks to Russell, who achieved triple crown.
KEPCO won a 3-0 (25-21 25-20 25-17) match against Woori Card in the 4th round of the 2020-21 Dodram V-League men’s division held at the Jangchung Gymnasium in Seoul on the 24th.
KEPCO ran two consecutive victories and reached 12-12 (38 points and 5th place). The difference between KEPCO and Woori Card (13 wins 11 losses, 39 points) is only 1 point.
KEPCO Russell and Park Chul-woo led the team victory by scoring 20 points side by side. Russell also achieved a triple crown (personal 4, season 13) with 3 blocking, 4 sub aces, and 5 back attacks.
On our card, Alex scored 16 points and Na Gyeong-bok scored 14 points, but it did not prevent the team from losing.
The first set was tight. However, after 16-16, as Park Chul-woo and Russell’s offensive goals came one after another, the KEPCO took over. By adding Ahn Yohan’s blocking and quick attack, he first broke the 20 point mark. KEPCO succeeded in defeating the baseline by winning 1 set by 4 points.
