Cristiano Ronaldo, who plays for Juventus (Italy), indirectly refuted the recent accusations against him.

Ronaldo left a meaningful article on his SNS on the 14th (hereinafter, Korean time), saying, “The history (which I have left) will not be erased.”

Ronaldo has recently been receiving a lot of attention from various media and fans.

Ronaldo was the source of the team’s defeat in the second round of Porto in the 2020-21 European Football Federation (UEFA) Champions League (UCL) held on the 10th. Ronaldo turned passively in the process of standing on the free-kick defense wall, and the ball eventually slipped through the gap, leading to a fatal concession for Juventus.

Italian media criticized “I doubt whether Ronaldo, a high-paid salary, really helps Juventus,” and Italian fans were also very angry, saying, “I was eliminated from the UCL because of Ronaldo, who is greedy only for fashion rather than game.”

However, Ronaldo does not seem to care about criticism.

Ronaldo said on social media, “A true champion doesn’t crumble,” he added, “fortunately, football has a history and that history never gets erased.”

It can be seen as a hopeful message to wash away the pain of elimination and pledge to the next quickly, but on the other hand, it can be interpreted as a dissatisfaction with “although this competition was eliminated, but I have made a lot of history in the past.”

It is a message that does not look good in the situation of Italian media and fans, which was greatly shocked by Juventus’ elimination in the round of 16.
