Jeonju City, North Jeolla Province, launched a’good prepayment campaign’ to save small business owners and self-employed people who are driven to the edge of the cliff due to the prolonged coronavirus infection (Corona 19). It is intended to overcome the shrinking economy due to social distancing and restraint from going out with the power of social solidarity.

For the success of the Good Prepayment Campaign, the city decided to expand the benefit of the Jeonju Love Gift Certificate, which is currently 10% in cash, to 20% within the budget. The monthly charging limit was also increased from 500,000 won to 1 million won. The 10% additional benefit will disappear from April when this campaign ends.

The Jeonju-type Good Prepayment Campaign is in the first phase, starting from this day on the City and Jeonju Facility Management Corporation, Korea Carbon Convergence Technology Institute, Jeonju Information and Culture Industry Promotion Institute, Jeonju Agricultural Biomaterials Research Institute, Jeonju Cultural Foundation, Korea Traditional Culture Center, etc. Etc. 5,000 people participate.

From the 27th, a private-centered two-stage prepayment campaign will be launched. It is expected that a large number of general citizens, as well as executives and employees of large corporations, financial institutions, and innovative city relocation organizations, and members of independent organizations such as Lions and Rotary, will energize the entire commercial district in Jeonju.

The city plans to compensate for the remaining money used by the end of May in the event that a business previously paid by citizens closes. The city operates the prepayment campaign support situation room until the end of March.
