The power of the people pushing for unification of opposition powers Oh Se-hoon and National Assembly Party candidate Ahn Cheol-soo, mayor of Seoul, continued a tense war on the 13th. With the unification deadline approaching on the 19th, the last-minute confrontation seems to be intensifying.

On this day, the two candidates had mixed words over whether to resume working-level negotiations. The previous day’s meeting of the working-level negotiations was crippled after four hours of heated debate, unable to narrow the disagreement, and could not set a schedule for the next meeting. Accordingly, Candidate Oh told reporters on this day that “the working-level negotiations will resume tomorrow (14th).” Then, three hours later, candidate Ahn denied, saying, “There is no agreement.” The schedule of the vision presentation that Candidate Oh will be held at 3 pm on the 14th also drew a line that Ahn said that the agreement was unfounded.

Candidate Ahn said in a statement that day, “Yesterday, the working-level negotiation team tried to hold a vision presentation, but an agreement was not reached, and since then, no further discussions or decisions have been made between the candidates or the negotiation group.”

Earlier, Candidate Ahn also expressed an uncomfortable feeling on his SNS regarding the unified working-level negotiation situation. He said, “It’s a pity why the people’s power doesn’t respect the opinions of the party candidates. It is difficult to understand that the agreement between the candidates is ignored.” Different” he urged.

However, according to officials from both sides, practical preparations, such as finding a place to hold the vision presentation, have already been completed. It is reported that if an agreement is reached between the two sides, it is possible to proceed immediately.
