A parade of condolences continues at the Citizen’s Incense Center for the late Paik Ki-wan installed in Changwon, Gyeongsangnam-do.
On the 16th, organizations such as the Gyeongnam Headquarters of the KCTU and the Gyeongnam Progress Association set up a civic incense center in the park in front of Changwon Hanseo Hospital. In addition, citizen incense centers were set up in the Gyeongnam headquarters of the Changwon Democratic Trade Union and in Jinju.
Citizens’ incense centers do not have early or harmonious arrangements according to the will of the deceased, and Yeongjeong is installed, and condolences place chrysanthemums.
Changwon Mayor Heo Seong-mu and Cho Hyeong-rae, head of the Gyeongnam Confederation of Trade Unions, visited the Citizen’s Incense Center in the park in front of Changwon Hanseo Hospital and visited them to condolence.
Mayor Heo Seong-moo said after the condolence, “I don’t have a special relationship personally. I remember when I was in Pusan University in the 1980s and when the deceased came and gave a lecture. The atmosphere was great at that time. I have seen you several times since then.”
Mayor Huh said, “Senior Baek Ki-wan is a big star in the democratization movement, and he is a great adult to his juniors,” he said. “Of course, I came to condolence to the idea that I should express my condolences.”
Gyeongnam Governor Kim Gyeong-soo and Gyeongnam Provincial Superintendent Park Jong-hoon are also expected to condolence.
Members of civil society organizations such as Hwang Cheol-ha, a permanent co-representative of the Gyeongnam Headquarters of the South Committee’s Gyeongnam Headquarters and Ha Won-oh, the representative of the Gyeongnam Progressive Federation, will make a condolence to the group on the afternoon of the 17th.
Kim Young-man, an advisor to the Open Social Hope Solidarity, said, “When our organization was founded, he came and gave a congratulatory remarks. I met him and said goodbye, and I have also met him several times afterwards.”

A civic incense center was set up in Jinju. Life and Politics Citizen Network’Like Pearl’ opened a civic incense center on the 2nd floor of’Mood’s Hideout’ next to Kyungnam University of Science and Technology on the 16th, receiving support from citizens.
Like Jinju, he said, “We set up the Jinju Citizen’s Incense Center for the world of Nonamegi, teacher Ki-wan Baek. Many citizens who remember the will of Gi-wan Paik want to join the teacher on the way.”
The Civic Incense Center is open until evening on the 18th.
Citizens’ incense center management organizations said, “We are thoroughly complying with the COVID-19 quarantine regulations throughout the funeral period, and returning all harmony and early days according to the will of the deceased.”
