“Request for participation in the profit sharing system”… Representative of the IT Association “need to deregulate”

In addition, the Democratic Party met with representatives of the IT industry association today (22nd) to explain the purpose of the’profit sharing system’ to respond to the Corona 19 crisis and requested voluntary participation of companies.

Representative Lee Nak-yeon and the ruling party’Post Corona Inequality Relief TF’ held a video conference with platform companies such as the Korea Fintech Industry Association, Internet Business Association, and Korea Startup Forum at the National Assembly this afternoon.

At this closed meeting, the ruling party focused on solving the misunderstandings of companies, saying that the profit-sharing system does not force companies to return their profits, but is based on support for companies such as incentives.

Representative Lee Nak-yeon gave an example that Hollywood became the present Hollywood through the sharing of profits between early film productions and actors, and explained that “if we make a social investment, we will return that profit and create a win-win structure.”

TF head, Ik-pyo Hong, chairman of the policy committee, added, “It is the cooperative benefit-sharing system that grows and shares together in a polarization situation,” and added, “We will provide institutional and legal support to make companies better and lead to job creation.” .

Chairman of the Strategic Planning Committee Chung Tae-ho also explained, “It is the most capitalist institution to increase the market power of companies,” and “We will legislate with policies that give more incentives to voluntary support.”

Regarding this, the representatives of the IT Association said, “Even in the recession caused by Corona 19, we are contributing to job creation by hiring hundreds of people per company, and the stock price has risen, but the actual operating profit has not increased as expectations for platform companies are reflected. It is said to have expressed a warm color.

He also added, “As the number of users increases, costs and investments have increased proportionately, and we have provided benefits such as fee reductions, and please understand that we have made a win-win effort to overcome Corona 19.”

In addition, they also demanded deregulation for win-win growth.

In response, the TF also responded, saying, “I will enthusiastically deregulate the regulations at the extraordinary National Assembly next month,” and “I will support you in the direction of increasing the willingness to work and the sales will of affiliates.”

Industry representatives also agreed with the TF explanation, and it was reported that they shared existing cases of win-win cooperation with the TF, such as supporting payment fees to platform consumers and suppliers, and supporting advance payments and management expenses.

Democratic Party spokesman Heo Young, who attended the meeting, explained, “We will also review and promote the distribution industry development law and corporate tax bill issued by Rep. Gyeong-ho Chu, the power of the people.”
