A suspicion was raised that Rep. Kang Ki-yoon, the power of the people, received compensation for obstacles in the park development process promoted by Changwon City.

Gyeongsangnam-do Changwon City Councilman Choi Young-hee of the Justice Party raised the suspicion of overcompensation of local congressmen in the second plenary session of the city council on the 16th.

Councilman Choi did not specify the name of a member of the National Assembly when questioning the city administration, but it is known that in the region, Assemblyman Kang received compensation for land and obstacles for the Gaeumjeong Neighborhood Park project.

The Gaeumjeong Park Neighborhood Park project is a project to purchase the 188 Gaeumjeong-dong, Seongsan-gu, and convert it into a park, which was bound as a park in the urban plan. Kang also received compensation for owning land on the planned site of Gaeumjeong Neighborhood Park.

Rep. Choi said, “I received a report and confirmed that there were only 221 persimmon trees in the Gaeumjeong-dong persimmon orchard owned by a local parliament, and I received 450 rewards.”

Rep. Choi exclaimed, “The amount of compensation for the Gaeumjeong Neighborhood Park project increased from 55 billion won to 93 billion won, and this is a waste of tax.”

Heo Seong-moo, mayor of Changwon, who responded, said, “When I went out of the department yesterday and checked the number of persimmon trees, I received a report that Choi’s claim was correct.”
