[아시아경제 정동훈 기자] Rep. Cho Su-jin, who was sentenced to a fine of 800,000 won in the first trial for violating the Public Office Election Act, was sentenced to hold the position of parliament.

According to the courts on the 4th, both Rep. Cho and the prosecutors’ office did not appeal within the deadline, and a fine of 800,000 won for the first trial was confirmed. Elected public officials lose their positions if they are fined 1 million won or more for violating the Public Office Election Act.

Rep. Cho was handed over to trial on charges of deliberately dropping 500 million won bonds between deaths while reporting property during the general election. The prosecution sought a fine of 1.5 million won, deciding that Cho had submitted it to the party even though he knew that the property details could be false.

On the 27th of last month, the 11th Division of the Seoul Western District Law Criminal Agreement (presiding judge Moon Byung-chan), who was in charge of the first trial, sentenced to a fine of 800,000 won on the 27th of last month, saying, “It does not appear that the defendant has intentionally entered false facts.”
