Relieve congestion on the high-speed road on Gwigyeong-gil… Busan → Seoul 4 hours 30 minutes

[아시아경제 강나훔 기자] On the night of the 14th, the last day of the Lunar New Year holiday, most of the congestion was resolved on the national highway.

According to the Korea Expressway Corporation, cars are speeding up in all sections of the Gyeongbu Expressway towards Seoul as of 9 pm on the same day, except for the 4 km section near Cheongju Service Area and Okcheon. The Busan direction is also congested only in the 4km section between Hannam and Seocho.

Two-way communication between the West Coast Expressway and the Metropolitan Area 1 Beltway Expressway is smooth. The Yeongdong Expressway and Jungbu Expressway also show a cool flow without congestion.

It takes 4 hours and 30 minutes to arrive at the Seoul toll booth from major cities across the country by car at 10 pm, and it is expected that Busan will take 4 hours and 30 minutes, Gwangju 3 hours and 20 minutes, Daegu 3 hours and 30 minutes, and Gangneung 2 hours and 40 minutes.

On this day, the Korea Highway Corporation predicted the national traffic volume of 3.49 million units. It is estimated that 300,000 units will move from the metropolitan area to the provinces and 370,000 units from the local to the metropolitan area.
